A Pivot for the White House Correspondence Association

Looks like the White House Correspondence Dinner will be hosted by an historian this year, rather than an all-to-oft-controversial comedian.

And the joke that sent the critics spinning?

Sarah Huckabee Sanders "burns facts, and then uses that ash to make the perfect smokey eye".  ~ Michelle Wolf, host of 2018's WHCD.  

Honestly, it's hard to believe that this joke could have upended a decades-long tradition of having a comedian host the dinner.  

But apparently it has.  Biographer Ron Chernow will be the host in 2019.
